Vincente Fortier is research director (1st cl.) at the CNRS and director of the mixed research unit Law, Religion, Business and Society (UMR 7354 DRES) at the University of Strasbourg since 2016. From 2014 to 2016, she has assumed the deputy leadership of this unit. At the University of Montpellier, where she has spent a large part of her career, she directed the UMR “Dynamiques du droit” from 2009 to 2013. From 2018 to 2020, she was scientific advisor to the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) and twice member of Section 36 of the CNRS National Committee. Doctor in private law from the University of Montpellier (1986), authorized to direct research (1994), her research focuses on the intersections between law and religions, particularly in the field of private law (labour law, family law , personal law, contract law, etc.). His research is closely linked to current issues: radicalization (within the family), religious identity, status of imams, religious expression in business, legal understanding of religious diversity, etc.
