ALFONSINA BELLIO

Alfonsina Bellio is directrice d’études at the École Pratique des Hautes Études (EPHE-PSL) and corresponding member of the Institut d’Études Avancées in Nantes, where she was resident researcher for the 2016-2017 promotion. It was under the direction of Daniel Fabre that she obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Social and Historical Anthropology of Europe from the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. After a thesis in Anthropology and Literature at the University of Calabria (Italy), and various postdoctoral fellowships (Italy, France, South Africa), she obtained her HDR at EPHE, under the supervision of Philippe Portier. She conducted her studies and taught at various institutions and research institutions: within the Department of Human Sciences of the University of Calabria, University of Bordeaux, UCo of Angers, Catholic Institute of Paris, University of Friborg (Switzerland), but also the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Superintendence for Historical, Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Heritage of Calabria, the University of Milan, the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Naples. She is responsible for the Giuseppe Pitrè dossier for BÉROSE (Basis for studies and research on the organization of ethnographic knowledge); Secretary of the Scientific and Technical Cooperation Network for European Ethnography and Historiography of the Council of Europe, F.E.R. EURETHNO. She has conducted field investigations in Italy, France, USA (New York State).
